Hi how’s it going? So, here is Emma and Rob’s Richmond Hill Hotel Wedding. That’s two weddings I’ve shot at this gorgeous venue on the hill in the last few months. The Richmond Hill Hotel is in a great location. It is just a few minutes walk from the town centre with all its restaurants and bars on the riverside. Plus it is right next to the beautiful Richmond Park and of course Richmond Terrace is just across the road with spectacular views of the River Thames and the surrounding area. It’s an abosolute dream for a Richmond Wedding Photographer, like me, as there are so many locations to take great photos. I was working with my friend and colleague Steve again. He was with Rob before the wedding and I was with Emma and her five bridesmaids, all of whom were her sisters.
The ceremony was in the quaint Oak Room and then we went out on to the terrace for some group shots and then the portrait shoot for the bride and groom. Unfortunately it started to rain so we continued the shoot inside. The wedding breakfast was in the ballroom and the pillars in there were decorated with fairylights. So with a bit of off camera flash and my 70-200m we captured some lovely images of the newlyweds surrounded by beautifully blown out fairylights.
Emma and Rob also did their homework on the venue before the big day. They really wanted a photo of them in the restaurant entrance to the hotel as it is beautifully lit up with lights. It’s always good to have think about where you want your phtotos taken. I always do a reccy and offer up ideas, but, if you’re after something more specific, just let me know and I’ll deliver! If you’re getting married at the Richmond Hill Hotel, please get in touch with me, your friendly Richmond Wedding Photographer, and you could have a lovely set of wedding photos like these!
